About Dr. Terah C. Isaacson, MD FACS FASCRS
Dr. Terah Isaacson is board-certified in both Colon & Rectal and General Surgery.
A Kansas native, Dr. Isaacson brings not only a passion for quality healthcare, but also a wealth of new skills to the Pearland & Medical Center communities. She specializes in using a minimally invasive techniques to abdominal surgery for diseases, such as colon and rectal cancer, diverticular disease, and inflammatory bowel disease. She also provides many treatment options for anorectal and pelvic floor disorders, including hemorrhoids, anal fissures, fecal incontinence and constipation. In addition, Dr. Isaacson is proficient in both diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. Dr. Isaacson strives to provide well-informed care using a variety of approaches to provide her patients with a unique plan of care fit especially for their needs.
To complement her vast expertise, she is a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons, a member of the American Society of Colon & Rectal Surgeons, Harris County Medical Society and the Texas Medical Association. She is involved with the Young Surgeons Committee through the ASCRS and HCMS, in addition to being involved as an alternate delegate to the annual TexPac meeting. Her passion is to advocate for and educate young physicians on maintaining a work life balance through independent medical practice.
Dr. Isaacson earned a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas and attended the University of Kansas, School of Medicine. She trained in surgery at the Oregon Health & Science University in Portland. Following her residency program, Dr. Isaacson completed her fellowship training in Colon & Rectal surgery with The University of Texas Affiliated Hospital Program in Houston.
Dr. Isaacson enjoys traveling and outdoor activities such as camping, biking and hiking. She enjoys spending time with her family and sharing the wonder of medicine with her young children. She looks forward to creating a comfortable environment in which to discuss your concerns and to provide you personalized and professional care.
